IMBRÓGLIO
Imbróglio is an editorial project that transforms the general newspaper i into an object of political contestation and social satire. Through the appropriation of conventional journalistic language, the project deconstructs the traditional newspaper format and reconfigures it with a revolutionary, provocative, and anti-system aesthetic. The graphic identity combines stencil and typewriter typefaces, graffiti interventions, and visual manipulation of political figures, creating noise, tension, and intentional reading difficulty. The aim is to materialize the very meaning of imbróglio — confusion, conflict, and embarrassment — turning information into a field of visual confrontation. More than a newspaper, the project presents itself as a symbolic object: its ability to be transformed into a Cacete de Perafita, a reference to the Millwall brick, reinforces the idea of design as a tool for critique and provocation.
